Every second weekend of September, Absinthe Hamilton is home to the Supercrawl Artists Night Market - a curated collection of 20 creative and artistic vendors from all over Southern Ontario, with a strong local presence due to the amazing art scene Hamilton continues to encourage. Local favourites Born in the Eighties and Take Cover always rocks till the wee hours, and DJ Party Jesus always keep the party going. The emphasis on this particular indoor market space is to give artists an inexpensive way to showcase their art to a highly diverse and receptive crowd, right next to the main concert stage on the main strip, without being amidst the hustle and bustle of the festival. All proceeds from vendor fees contribute to the effort of creating the event itself - and for the sake of the financially-struggling art community that deserves the exposure at an event of this magnitude, without having to spend half their rent for an outdoor booth.
