FAZOOLI / fah-zoo-lee / noun. One who is full of beans.
Hatched from an egg in the heart of Paris, France in 1979, I am currently functioning as an independent freelance multi-dimensional creative, currently based in Canada.
I’ve been heavily involved in the Arts & Entertainment industry in North America since 1995, specializing in the roles of Media Producer, Production and Event Coordinator, Art Director, Graphic Designer, Audio and Camera Operator, as well as being a Visual Artist, DJ, Photographer and lately have been sharing my expertise with others as a Workshop Instructor, teaching various subjects such as the history & techniques involved in both Graffiti Art and DJing in various institutions across Ontario, including the Art Gallery of Hamilton and the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery in Sarnia, as well as for local public high.
As an artist and designer, I am always drawing on influences from my various journeys in life, which has allowed me to create works that people can easily identify with, as I remix existing paradigms into fresh narratives that are intended to delight and amuse. As an artist, I am continuously inspired by the elements of the modern world that surrounds us, and I enjoy tinkering around with popular elements in order to flip them on themselves to create something humorous, imaginative and relatable. I am often influenced by a multitude of tattoo artists, pop culture, music, film, street art, global culinary traditions, cultural paradigms, graphic design styles, and the art of typography. The products that I create and design are mostly geared towards making your environment just a little more awesome, at a reasonable cost, as I tend to push back against the cookie-cutter world, in a rejection of the commercially mass-produced. You aren’t meant to live life like everyone else - SO LET'S GET RAD.
As an Event Coordinator, I am most known for being the Team Leader and head organizer for the Hamilton chapter of the Punk Rock Flea Market, the first of it’s kind in Canada, which now boasts chapters in most big cities and across towns across North America. Now in it’s 11th year of operation, the events have grown to involve over 100+ vendors and staff, and collaborating with local small businesses, drawing thousands for every big show day, and heavily promotes the ethos of shopping local and supporting small business, to keep the local economy thriving, and encourage not spending money on corporate goods and services, whenever possible. Each show also serves as a fundraiser, collecting pay-what-you-can donations at the door for each event, with 100% of proceeds going to a local community organization in need, that creates positive change in our community. My previous production skills in television and film have given me a big advantage when it comes to creating the best experience possible for both our vendors, as well as our patrons. Nothing warms my heart more than to see people support each other in a safe and inclusive environment - and to thank each and every one for their incredible efforts and participation at the end of our shows fills my heart with so much joy and gratitude.
I’ve developed a large body of work over the course of the years, while honing my artistic practice in various categories and productions, all of which has become so extensive, that I can’t possibly list EVERY production on this website. Suffice it to say I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects, from local, national, and all the way around the globe - low budget, high budget, I span it all, baby, I just like to have fun no matter what I’m working on. My passion for community over competition has led me to collaborate with many other creatives and businesses from all walks of life as I continuously strive to bring a compelling sense of joy and togetherness throughout my work. If it’s not fun, I’m not doing it.
Life's too short to stick to one thinG-
so I do what I love and I'll do it to death.

Featured Artist in Los angeles’ Canvas Rebel Magazine
Really stoked to have been featured in Canvas Rebel Magazine out of Los Angeles - TWICE!! We had a chance to chat about where I started, how far I’ve come, and what it takes to be successful as an artist - and what it really means to me personally at this point in my career.
We also touched on important subjects as how I am able to pivot in an ever-changing world, to adapt to whatever obstacles I face, as well as what I actually feel rewarded by in my work in the community.
I love interviews like this because it really makes me have to rethink on my current perspectives and see just how far I’ve come over the years as a freelancer. Sometimes it helps to breathe new life and motivation into my work when I am at my most exhausted - the best kind of reminder that I’m on the right path and to not give up.
